Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults?

I'm not understanding why it would be hard to uninstall and then reinstall. It's an incredibly simple procedure. Explain how it's hard to uninstall Firefox for you.

Lordbob75 would reinstalling it would be much easier?...as am not technical would I lose my settings to other Firefox settings like directorys which I use f or Firefox and add ons ?

Go to Mozilla.com and get an extension called FEBE to backup settings and a extension called X-Marks to backup your bookmarks in safe place on your machine where you can find it. Uninstall Firefox and when it asks you do want delete your settind and preferences say yes. Restart machine then reinstall Firefox. Go to your backups and reinstall using the directions for said extensions and you bookmarks will be back. I don't know if you would want to revert back to your settings as this may have been your problem in first place??
