Reset Button Corsair Carbide 200R

Hi,

The thing is when I click the reset button to reset the PC is supposed to suspend is set to it, something that does not suddenly appear on the ASUS logo as if it had to power on the PC and the security options appear or start windows normally.

This is reset:

Even if you set the reset button without function it does so.

The power button works well.

I mean reset button to of case Corsa ir Carbide 200R. The reset button which is with power button.

Let me clarify, when I press this button, of reset:

The system suddenly restarts and give me kernel power 41 error instead of sleep.

The system restart give a power kernel 41 critical. If I clica in this button computer just should sleep or hibernate.

The Reset button normally goes to the 2 reset pins on the motherboard, did you build this pc yourself ?

No wasn't I building PC.

Can you show me where please?

In past when I click reset button it going to sleep.

But the problem is the pc restarts but suddenly, and gives kernel power 41 error, it doesn't restart like do end of session, etc, when I click button just appear asus MB logo and start again all and appear security options, safe mode, etc because the computer wasn't correctly log off.

If there I put don't do nothing when reset button pushed, it still keep restarting.

It actually looks like a sleep or hibernation button, not a reset button.

I`ve never seen a way to change what the reset button does in windows, only the power button. Change the power button to enable sleep, or just use the start orb then choose sleep

But then again, I can not duplicate the picture you have shown, which looks like Power and Hibernation and you have the Hibernation/Sleep button set to do nothing.

I think I understand what cgentil is thinking.

The power button or reset button on the computer tower has nothing to do with the power button/restart/sleep options in Windows 7.

Right, if what he has circled in red is a reset button ( most likely ) and it`s connected to the reset pins on the motherboard, then that`s all it should do, but he`s saying it use to put the pc to sleep ( should not be possible)
I do not have that 2nd button ( hibernation ) he shows in his picture :huh:

I have the Sleep button option in Windows 8 but have no idea where the Sleep button is. It's not the reset button.

Or possibly your keyboard ?

Must be a Windows 8 thing, but his specs say Windows 7 :huh:

Maybe some more members with W 8 can confirm.

I have a power and reset button on my pc. I am however unable to change the reset button configuration so unless there is some setting for this in the settings on the motherboard? (update: haven't found anything so far). The only option I get from the settings in windows is to change what the power button does when it is pressed. Will keep looking however and will let you know if I find anything

Yes mine is Windows 7, and thats the sleep/hibernate button on the case in this case Corsair Carbide 200R.

Could you post a picture of the front of your case and add an arrow showing us where the sleep/hibernate button is on the case? I've looked at that case on NewEgg and on Corsair's website and the only buttons I see are Reset and Power.

The reset button can make sleep and hibernate if you've selected it on energy management options
