hi
I had many restore points for 7 and have given the program ample room to do so. Now, after a system restore, I only see 3 restore points and none show when "show more restore points" is checked.
Anyone know how I can get them back?

Hi monicalex89 and welcome to Se7en Forums

Have you actually lost the data, or have you just lost the program that you used to access it? This is possible if you chose a restore point that is dated prior to you installing the said program. You can always try to undo the last restoration to see if that helps.

That's true.
I deleted the windows.old folder some time ago by accident and when I realize the mistake I'd already restore the system and all the prior restore points were gone.

Why you need windows.old folder?
Everybody wants to get rid of it.

It's good to keep Data on separate partition.

I know this is a Vista article but it may be good to keep in mind as I'm sure it's probably applicable to Windows 7 also; when RPs reach a certain age they are deleted.

Never store anything on C: you don't want to lose, make backups. I hope you are able to retrieve your data.

System Restore "restore points" are missing or deleted

If this behavior has been changed, please let me know.
