Solved Restored image fails to upload?

Hi,

Tried restoring a W7 image on the same desktop but displays error " Incorrect path"........

Image is on a usb drive and and am using the rescue media CD to boot in.....

It can locate the image but displays error.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Tried coping image to another folder, but still the same.

Was running Macrium 5.0 clean uninstalled it using Revo and installed version 7.........now I get an error " unable to load the file"......

Any thoughts?

It removed the earlier logs, etc, XML files too.

I still cant upload any of the images created earlier.

Image integrity is fine, cannot restore online since have on 1 drive on the system so need to use the usb and rescue CD.

Any other options...

It seems the "incorrect path .." message does not refer to inability to find the image.

If you are able to mount the image, you could possibly copy/clone the mounted image to a physical target using another program - e.g diskgenius

Or you could make an image of the mounted drive using another program - e.g. aomei backupper

Which app of the 2, aomei backupper or diskgenius to copy the image?

Can I place the copied image on another folder of the USB drive?

Am copying the image to another folder on the usb, using Disk genius.

Should I use Macrium to restore it or does either of the 2 apps can restore?

The idea is to clone the mounted image to a physical disk.


OR

use a different imaging program ( e.g. aomei ) to create an aomei image of the mounted drive. Then hopefully you will be able to restore the aomei image. You would need to use aomei to restore an aomei image.

This is probably easiest for you.

Can I restore it while on Aomei?

Why doesn't it display the created file but the Macrium one while restoration?

Recreated an image on a New folder on the USB, but it contains both the Macrium and Aomei image....
While restoring only displays the Macrium one....

Correct, earlier had a Macrium backup and now Aomei too?

Macrium wont load with it's rescue CD.

Do I need to create a PE media for this too to restore it's image?

After a conversation with Macrium support, it was my bad using an older version of rescue CD ver 5.0 build 4885......now with the newer ver 7.2 none issues with restoring old images.

Many backup / restore USB and DVD boots can read present and earlier images. Sometimes "old" boots cannot work with "newer" images. I'm on a no-keyboard tablet, single-character-punching, don't know how to say it more smoothly.
