Hey all!

I'm not too sure this post goes here, since this is more about the internet than a network, but anyway, here goes:

The issue is when I connect to say, an eMule server, I get a lowId every time, which results in lower speeds and fewer searches, etc. On Modern Warfare 2, my nat type is strict. Now I recently had to replace my dsl modem, and I never had this problem with the previous one. My new modem is a CenturyLink 660 Series, which 'I believe' is the same as the Zyxel 660. Another thing, the ethernet light on this new modem is always amber, unless the computer is in sleep mode, in which case it's green. This is with the modem hooked directly to the pc. The comp is running win 7 home premium, 32 bit.

I tried opening the ports, I think I did it right but am not 100% sure. I read through a step by step guide found here: http://biz.centurylink.net/files/embarq/support/Routers/660_portFowarding.php

I've since started a home network and added my son's comp, running win7 64 bit, to the mix. He was connected to a hub via a (really long) ethernet cable. Modem was moved to the hub, and both pc's hooked to the hub. Ethernet light on the modem is now green. My comp still has strict nat in cod, low ID in eMule, yet my son's comp has nat open in cod. Neither comp is using a 3rd party firewall, and both are using the same antivirus.

I've already removed the hub and replaced it with a wireless router, a TrendNet 652BRP, with my pc hooked via ethernet and his wireless, and the same problems persist on my machine. Granted the network got a bit more complex, but I can easily revert it back to just my comp & the modem for troubleshooting.

Anyway I'm starting over with this, and had already reset the modem back to its default settings.

Thanks for any and all help!

Dang, nobody huh? Here's some more info. to help out...

I've been able to get nat: open on Call of Duty, once in a while. Basically, I have to quit & restart the game 3 or 4 times to get it. Emule stays restricted, however. Any reason why nat would be strict 3 out of 4 connects?
