Rocketdock & Object dock

hey guys, if there is anybody that knows if its possible to run rocketdock and object dock at the same time? im trying, but everytime i run object dock, rocketdock stops working.

anyone with the similar problem? any tips?

ummm i know this can be done but im not sure how and cant seem to find a tutorial on doing so quickly enough to include at this moment. you could purchase objectdock pro however and run multiple docks.

I assume you have more shortcuts than you can fit into one dock. In addition to Rocket Dock, I solved this problem with a couple of toolbars in the taskbar and the AppLauncher in the sidebar (that I brought over from Vista). But unfortunately the AppLauncher works only in Win7 32bit.

Hmm, that's interesting. Since I never used Object Dock, I did not know that. I was checking Rocket Dock for that possibility, but it does not seem to support multiple docks.

Sergio, looks like this option is not available in the free version: Stardock ObjectDock.

just run one or the other. on the desktop create yourself a folder called something like desktop, desktop shortcuts, shortcuts, etc............ place the program shortcuts you want quick access to in it and drag it to whichever dock you decide to use.

edit: personally i would avoid objeck dock. stardock programs have a habit of eating too many resources.

agree. i forgot about stacks, and i have used the stacks feature for my desktop shorts in the past. i have a paid version of winstep xtreme myself.

Download this : Stack Docklet For ObjectDock by ~arshi2009 on deviantART ; though it is for objectdock, but worked for rocketdock for me.

Unrar, then copy to rocketdock's docklets folder, and run the registry entry.

Omegatron, thanks, I had wanted the dock mainly for stacks cause I like grouping icons in lists. I use Rocketdock, but I didn't know Objectdock had this. I will check it out.

With 7Stacks, you can add up to 10 lists of folders at superbar of Windows 7 in three display modes just mentioned. And creating a new list is as simple as clicking the right button in any folder on your system and select the “Create New Stack“, after which we will have an icon on the desktop and pin it to taskbar. Moreover, as we are creating space for folders are real (and not just shortcuts) can navigate through subfolders, all without leaving the superbar.

i kno i can run multiple docks, i just wanted those 2 docks running. and im under the impression that multiple object docks are gonna slow down my computer.


edit: i forgot about stacks, that could solve my problems. sorry guys
