I know there is a checkbox in the propertires of a batch file where you can select that this file should always be run as admin. But that checkbox is for me grayed out and inactive both on my Windows 7 Ultimate home system and on a Server 2008 at work.

How do I get this checkbox enabled again?

Thanks for your help in advance

Thanks for the hints. Unfortunately the information given there doesn't work for me.

My prob is not to run the file, but to run it with admin rights _always_. Both in the batch file's own context menu, and in the shortcut's properties menu, the Privilege section, where you could tick the checkbox to always run it as admin is grayed out, and inactive.

I've wondered whether it is some kind of system wide policy which I would have to set, like you have to do to allow for Scripts to be run, but I couldn't find any info in that direction. So I'm puzzled - why is that Privilige checkbox grayed out, and not only on one system, but on two different ones?
