What's the end goal of running DOS on your machine?

I have a 1994 document assembly software program on hard and floppy disk ( three hard disks, both sides ) that I used through 1996, and I'm wanting to run this DOS based program on my Windows 7 Ultimate laptop. Is this possible and what do I need to do????

Thanks!!!

Since you have the x64 version of Win7, you unfortunately can't use the built-in compatibility program for running older programs natively on the OS. Your only choice here is to run a DOS emulator (like DOSBox as linked above) or inside of a Virtual Machine like VMWare or VirtualBox.
