running driver verifier and ntoskrnl.exe does not verify

Trying to solve a problem and I am running driver verifier with about 10 items selected.
Narrowed it down to ntoskrnl.exe, windows trys to load, hangs, then I see a blue screen for 1 second
and then it reboots.
Is this odd?

Not asking about bsod, interested in learning more about the driver verifier.
Otherwise I would have posted in the crash area.

Memory problem, changed it out thanks for all the help....not
