Here is a tip that has worked in the past.
Uninstall the optical drives in Device Manager.
Power down the computer to OFF. Disconnect the optical drives power & data cables.
Power ON the computer for a full cycle, check to see that NO optical drives are shown in Device Manager. Power down the computer to OFF. Re-connect the power & data cables to the optical drives. Power ON the computer, making sure it is connected to the Internet so win7 Updates can check for the most current drivers. Then let's see if they work.

Now you know how to take your tower apart have a good look inside if its a bit dusty give it a blow with a can of compressed air around the fans and the cpu and gpu fans ,Try and make a mental note of where cables go and come from where the device cards are etc
