Safetly Remove Hardware Help Please!

When I click(left and right) the safely remove hardware icon, nothing pops up (the list of hardware to remove doesnt show up). I just click it and nothing happens. When I go to "Devices and Printers", it just hangs up and loads forever.

Would you happen to be running a registry cleaner software...like an old version of ccleaner? Also could you tell me what build of Windows 7 you are running like Windows 7 BETA, RC or RTM?

Well yeah Im using Auslogics Boost Speed. Im using RTM version of Windows 7. Actually, this happens after installing Visual Studio 2008 as it is working fine before I installed it(based on my observations).

NVM. My Windows update downloaded a driver for one device that made everything run normal again. Thanks for the reply.
