hi i have samsung g7 27 inch monitor and for work reasons i have to use windows 7 and there is an odd behavior, every time the monitor comes out of screensaver-work reasons again-the desktop becomes messy and all the programs windows becomes smaller and in the top left corner of the screen even the task manager
now i can't just turn off the screen every time i leave my disk that's why there is screensaver and logon screen and the screen built in off timer plus only turns the screen off after 1 hour and the Eco timer after 10 minutes while i set the screensaver to turn off the screen after 1 minute
so i need a solution so when the screen comes back from screensaver the desktop looks normal and i don't have to resize my programs windows again
BTW the resolution is 1440p
any help?

Open the NVIDIA Control Panel in Control Panel. Select "Adjust desktop size and position." In the Scaling, is Display or GPU selected? Try changing it. You might have to reboot the system for it to take effect.

I assume you have the latest driver although that's not normally an issue unless a specific fix has been made for a particular problem. Don't know if that the case here.

Try this-

 1. Run msconfig
 2. Open the Boot options
 3. If checked, uncheck the box for "base video."
 4. Apply the change and reboot.

I apologize for not responding. I had held onto an older e-mail notification for this thread but let it slide until today. I didn't get the notification for your post 5.

I don't know anything about the dp sleep. Not sure if your problem is related but take a look at this- Redirecting

It might be beneficial to set the DP sleep mode to a screensaver and then put your system to sleep and come out of it to see if the problem still exists.

no worries mate but i can't set DP sleep mode to anything it's hardware implanted in the monitor with no option available to change it to anything ,i do have a blank screensaver which kick in after 1 minute and i can't put the whole system to sleep cause of work
