I had this flash drive since last year. I always download movies, t.v. series and anime. After I have watched all that I have downloaded, I always delete it and it also appears in the recycle bin so I also deleting it to not waste memory.

Last March 27, after I download and move the files in my USB. When I went back to my renting house, I tried to watch the t.v. series that I have downloaded in a DVD(XViD format). Unfortunately, the DVD can't read my flash drive.

I attached my USB to a computer and then suddenly, it was not detected by Windows Explorer but appears in Disk Management saying that it is "not initialized, unallocated drive."

I do Google searching and I found this forum, I found out that I should use a partition recovery software. I tried but when I scanned my drive, it always stops at "7-8k of 62530624 sectors." I don't know why but I think my flash drive was damaged.

Is there any other way I can fix it? :(
My important files are inside there.

Hope that any one can help :)

Flash drives are the least reliable of modern storage media. And add to that the possibility that the drive may be lost, stolen, or physically damaged. These devices should never be used for primary storage of important files but be used primarily as a transport media. All files of any importance need at least one backup copy while those of particular importance need two or more backup copies. Recovery of data after something goes wrong can not be relied on.

My important files are inside there.

Following up on LMiller7 recommendation.

In my opinion putting a movie on a memory stick is no problem. If the stick goes bad no big deal.
It's just a movie you can download again.

I would never or do I suggest putting important files or data of any kind for storage on a flash drive.

Another reason.
Their has been reported a influx of counterfeit flash memory sticks that look great.
They just don't work great unless you eat with chop sticks.

Thank you for your great advice. :D
Unfortunately, I can't redo the time to at least save my important files.

Well, I am giving you my thanks for giving me a great advice too.

It's just that, flash drives are very convenient to use because anywhere you go, you can bring it. :)

Now when it comes to reliability, it failed. :(

Oh !

My flash drive has no assigned drive letter. How can I suppose to use that software?

It's just a drive that is unknown. Refer to the first image I have posted, it has no Drive Letter assigned to it. :(
