Solved Screen Resolution?

After installing W7 again on a notebook I have the idea the screen resolution is not correct?, And how about the vga, is that usual?

Hi there ... Your Graphics is showing as Standard .. Go to the Device Manager click on display right click property's details tab .. And Post back the Information ... It is either an Intel or Nvidia Graphics

I have run the driver and the screen resolution is been better. The display is now ¨Mobile PC Display¨ with a ¨Landscape¨ Orientation. So I think thats ok?

Hi there ... Did you connect your Laptop to an external monitor or a television .. Your Laptop could have Duel Graphics Cards .. But with out knowing the exact Model Number there is no way of telling ... Sony Website has been a real pain lately when i looked up the Model Number you gave me .. It came up with Duel Graphics Intel 3000 and HD Radeon all in one Driver ....

In the ideal situation, the OP would have just furnished us with the information I asked in my last post and this would all have been sorted out a long time ago.

I think I count 3 times now we have asked for the exact model of the notebook, fingers crossed we get it in the next reply.

Its an Sony VAIO with modelnumber: PCG-7191M and its an European version. Sorry Paul I couldn't gave it because the Laptop was not at my home.

No I did not connect it to an external monotir or television, the correct modelnumber is: PCG-7191M, which I recently gave you.

Yeah that appears to be the closest match Maxie, and even if it was that one, I think there will be a lot of trouble with Drivers as the latest drivers for that are for Windows 98!

Arh OK Maxie, I was unaware there was another thread ongoing regarding drivers.

Edit: Maybe if all windows updates are put on, windows might install a graphics driver itself?

The only thing I found in this website Sony VAIO PCG-7191M(Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.3GHz) - Linux Mint Community is that this laptop have a Core i5-2410M Processor clocked at 2.3 Ghz
