Solved Screens freeze without BSOD, event id 10110 and 6008

Hi, my computer randomly crashes at various moments. The screens just freeze but the computer keeps running. I have to hard reset every time it crashes. It used to happen very often but after removing drivers and updating them it's way less frequent. It still happens atleast once a day.

When I look at the even viewer I get these error at the moment of the crash, im not really sure what to do with these.

I searched a lot and didn't really find anything useful to fix the problem... Thank you for your time.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

So there is a chance that it BSODs but crash dumps are not recorded.

Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Now wait for another BSOD. When it occurred, search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. See if the crash dump is recorded or not (hopefully it will be recorded).Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

It is saying about the SSD, as the 2 TB HDD is set as the first disc in the ports. The conroller is native PCI IDE controller, which is not very matching with the SSD drives. You need AHCI there. Follow it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/270301-ahci-enable-windows-xp-after-os-install.html

Its ok, I followed the right link for windows 7. My computer froze once again the same way it used to and it didn't create a minidump file. I dont see it in c:\windows

Next, let us see if any driver is playing a role in those freezes. So enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

it crashed again. What is curious is that it reset my graphic settings in league of legends as if I never played.

It didn't create anything to record the crash in windows

Does it crash within the game only? If so, I would suggest you to consult with the game developer in their forum.

not at all, it crashes at various time. It just so happened to crash in the loading screen.

As we dont have any crash dump, anything said precisely about it will be a baseless statement.

Post the screenshots of both the discs using CrystalDiskInfo - Software - Crystal Dew World

As we have noticed some sort of HDD failure in the event logs, those information will be helpful.

I can't seem to update my ssd, not too sure what the problem is there's not troubleshooting.

I tested my hdd with the extended test and it passed

Ok I updated it with another program, it worked.

Will report if any crashes. It crashed while watching a video on my main screen and doing something else on my split screen so I don't think it's League of legends related.

It took longer to crash but it still did. It crashed again in the loading screen of league of legends and it reset my video settings again. Not too sure if it resets because I crash in the loading process or for another reason.

It appears to me to be some issue with the game only. May be you are not using the right settings of the game, may be it needs some custom patches for your system to run properly, or may be it is the game itself, as it is widely alleged to be a poorly coded one.

It would be better if you contract with the game developer, I think they have a forum for such a purpose.

I will look into it but it doesn't only crash with the game. It crashes also when I look at videos. Usually it's when I do multiple stuff at once.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Take a screenshot of the furmark window before closing it. Upload the screenshot for us. Also let us know if you have experienced any crash/BSOD and/or artifacts during the test.

If furmark caught any error, report us.
If furmark does not find any error there, read the following:

Can you dismantle the computer?

If so, open it and remove all the parts form it. Clean everything with compressed air, specially the air vents and all the fan grills. Clean the edges of RAM sticks, graphics card and SATA cables with clear cotton cloth. Then apply new thermal paste to the heatsneak and re-assemble the computer.

See if it does any change there.

I Dismantled the computer, cleaned the cpu, re-applied thermal paste, unconnected-reconnected all the wires... still crashed

I ran the test for 2 hours without problem
