Solved SD Card RAW/Corrupt After Using It With Windows

Ya, I was about to suggest it, "ignore all" and allow it to scan.

Did you preview the files shown and check whether those are ok?

As I said in a previous post either some of the memory chips had been knocked out or your SD card is riddled with too many bad sectors.

Now instead of buying Getdataback simple, you should be able to recover most of your data with PhotoRec.The only downside is you may not be able to get the same folder structure and filenames as you will with Getdataback.. What you will get is the files without the folder structure and their original filenames. If you have only photos that shouldn't matter.

Guide to using PhotoRec:

http://www.sevenforums.com/software/193467-guide-using-photorec-recovery-software.html

Go to the topic Recovery: in the above thread.

1. Do not format your MicroSD card.

2. Do not try to run testdisk_win.exe. Run only photorec_win.exe

Download Windows version of TestDisk from TestDisk Download - CGSecurity You will find photorec_win.exe in it.

Good job following instructions Powerpuff Girls.
Seem like you problems is solved.

I would recommend in the future keeping back ups to a external drive using Macrium Reflect. Back up everything including the data you saved off of your SD card.

I would replace the SD card. Not worth taking a chance with using it again.

This might be helpful.

I will do that first thing. I already bought another one. :)

I have got my files back, appears to be all of them. Unfortunately, I'm it didn't get the titles to the photos. I will either add my own or copy from the app that shows them all.

I want to thank everyone who helped and I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

Glad to know that you got back all photos. And yes, PhotoRec, in the absence of the filesystem which was lost in your MicroSD card, reconstructs the files from the file signatures and attributes and therefore the original file names are lost.

As you have already seen, only Getdataback can recover all data complete with the original folder structure and titles but then you have to get a license for USD79.

But for just photos it is not worth spending that much. As you said, you can retitle the photos as it appears in Getdataback simple.

If you are sure you had recovered everything and done with it, try to format the MicroSD card with SD Formatter 4.0. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ If it gets formatted well and good. Otherwise just scrap it.
