SD Card Reader Becoming Undetectable After Dragging Files Into PS CS5

Hi all,

Just recently I've started to notice a very irritating bug. I take a lot of photos for my work and my usual process of editing them goes like this;

I'll open an Explorer window and navigate to the camera folder on the SD Card. I'll then drag the image(s) from the folder directly into an Adobe Photoshop CS5 workspace. This is something I've done for a long time without problem.

However a problem has developed. I'll drag an image file into PS but the image won't open and the Explorer window will close immediately. Not only that but the SD Card Reader device will then no longer show up in the Devices list so I can't access it at all. Only a restart solves this.

I'm quite at a loss here. In the interim I think I'll copy the images to the desktop before opening them, but it would be nice to get a fix for this. As far as I'm aware, my VAIO Care software is not showing any available driver updates, not has it made any recent changes.

Thanks,
Matt
