Search Bar in Windows Explorer flashes - Windows 7

Hi everyone have come looking for some help. When i open windows explorer the searh bar at the top right flashes crazy and opens the drop down then closes.... while this is happening i cant open any folders. I am running windows 7 home premium. Any suggestions?

Have you tried another keyboard and another mouse?

I haven't tried another keyboard or mouse. Would this make a difference? Its like the auto fill is stuck on and keeps dropping the auto fill down....

It could very well make a difference.. Try, and let us know..

My old Toshiba laptop does similar things - and it's the upper right corner of the keyboard that causes that.
