Thanks PSCO2007, could you ask mods to let you use Team Viewer and fix my W7s G Chrome....... a complete uninstall and than reinstall?

If you want to reinstall Chrome, just delete it and download it again.

How do I perform a Clean unistall.........using Revo...........what about other remnants and reg entries?

When you click the program you want to remove, choices come up.

Pick advanced.

Yes I want to uninstall and reinstall Chrome.

But aint no expert so, if the Chrome issue isnt resolved might try to reinstall W7 Pro in 2 days assuming that it may fix the issue?

I have G Chrome running on 2 pcs bot running W7 Pro 32 bit, and on my Android too since all 3 are synced........so would I need to fresh install W7 on both?

Use Revo to uninstall Chrome and reinstall it.

That should solve your problem.

If the search engine you are referring to isn't the default, it won't hurt anything.

You must have downloaded a program and if you didn't click "custom" and decline the other crap, that's how it got there.

Getting desperate, the Search engines won't get edited/deleted/customized and cannot edit Host pattern in Content settings.......:huh:

My profession as a med doc is being affected?

I tried unisntalling using Revo and reinstalling but still the same.

Havent downloaded a program on this new install of W7?

Any other suggestions that could save me from the agany of reinstall of W7 and all its updates...........if no and have to reinstall should I reinstall W7 on both pcs desktop and lappy?

Is the only thing bothering you, that search engine?

Is everything else running well?

Is that search engine only on your PC?

If so, and you want to reinstall, just do it on the PC that is affected.

1. Every thing else is perfect.

2. This Search engine is on both desktop and laptop and wont get deleted like others.......both are affected and synced.

3. Should I uninstall Chrome on both and than reinstall?

If it were me, I would just leave it alone.

The expression - If it ain't broke, don't fix it, seems to apply.

Just for your peace of mind, uninstall Chrome and reinstall.

On Both the pcs unisntall and reinstall Chrome correct.......do realize I have 1 gmail that runs on both pcs and Andriod G Chrome?

Reinstalling W7 updates and all apps on both pcs would be a waste of time and headaches.........

BTW - make sure whenever you download a program, always check "custom" and decline all that other garbage. The program will still download.

I know and thanks for good luck it worked.

I wasn't confused just the thought of reinstall of W7 was killing me lol........

Simultaneously uninstalled Chrome on both, rebooted, and reinstalled and signed in with the same credentials.........this time I got the option to delete other Search Engine which I did on one and automatically got deleted on the other too, earlier it wasnt giving an option to delete........

I have a few queries since all 3 Chromes are synced.

1. In Settings > Advanced sync.......should I sync all OR choose what to sync on each machine?

2. Secondly I lost the multicolored Google app icon the top left of a Chrome window, which when clicked on shows Google app.......like Mail GPS, Maps, Youtube......any ways to bring it back?

3. Thirdly should in Settings > Advanced Google to be running in back ground be unchecked?

4. Lastly how does one edit Content settings?
