Second hard drive - Windows stuck a boot

I just give up I think this Mini Tool ruined my main hard drive now the main drive with Windows 7 is working so slow Windows is moving slow now =/

Not possible. The problem is somewhere else. A bootable PW disc cannot make windows slower etc.

After startup, you were getting into the newly attached drive (old one) ... for it you need to change the boot priority. Enter into the BIOS, set the previously attached (new) drive at first boot device, or second, after the Optical Disc Drive.

Make this change, and reboot. Is the situation the same ?

the problem now is that Windows is hanging very long time on the Welcome screen compared to what it used to be before,so I was just wondering whether this PW is safe, or maybe I damaged the hard drive when plugging and unplugging the cables so many times?

Hi mibaup. I have disconnected the cables on my drives many times and that has never happened. I would think the only way damage can possibly be done is if the drive is disconnected while the computer is still running. Did you hook your main drive back up to the same SATA port as it was on previously? Did you check to see in the system bios whether your main drive is setup to be the boot drive? I honestly can't think of any reason the Mini tool could possibly cause your Windows installation to run slower. And I have used Partition Wizard many times without a single problem. It is why we recommend it on the forum quite often.

Oh no,I really did it, I was sure that the computer was off, but it was actually sleeping, and I disconnected the main hard drive while it was running, and then it woke up, I saw Windows 7 desktop (without any hard drives connected to the pc ), and then I shut it off and plugged it back again..

You are right, and this thread can be closed because I guess the other drive is dead.

It doesn't seem like you ever followed the instructions given to wipe the HD. If you cannot use Diskpart Clean Command from an Elevated Command Prompt in Win7 then click on the Disk # for that HD in Partition Wizard and from the Disk tab Quick Wipe that HD as shown here: Partition Wizard Wipe Disk Video Help. Then Partition Wizard Create Partition Video Help

If either drive won't cooperate to check it's condition run a Partition HD Wizard Surface scan after clicking on it's Drive # as shown in this video: Partition Wizard Partition surface test. Then run Partition Wizard Check File System .
