Security or firewall settings might be blocking windows...

Hi All

Been trying to fix this for a week! Can get e-mails no problem. The internet says its connected, but I cant get on-line due to above message. Using Windows 8. I have been clicking on every firewall setting like crazy! and got online for 10 seconds (was able to search on google) but then it went down again.

I have Windows defender with 2 error messages - and they want to fix them, but I cant get online to fix them.

I don't seem to have Norton Anti-Virus anymore, don't know where that went.

I have tried clicking to not use any Firewall - but nothing works. Any ideas? Thank you.

Sorry about that! May I know the Norton product/version that you had? And when was the last time you ran a scan with Norton? Let us know, we will check.
