At every shutdown this security update (Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2845187) tries to install however the update log shows repeated failed attempts. Not finding too much help on the net regarding this, so I’m hoping someone out there can help. Win 7 64 bit Professional. I’m running BitDefender Total Security 2013 and have tried disabling that. I get the error code 80073712 and have researched this but the Tool Microsoft offered/suggested be ran, didn’t help. The only other thing the MS site suggested is rebuilding the OS. This os was an upgrade from windows vista a long time ago. So, rebuilding the os would be possible but I don’t want to loose any of the programs I have loaded, or have to reinstall all of them. I’m stumped on this one. Suggestions???
