These crashes began after installing Acronis True Image. After I learned of the mess that is ATHI, I removed all traces of it manually (I hope). I'm still getting random BSOD browsing, playing WOW, Diablo 3, using itunes. Attached is the Seven Forums information zipped up.. Whocrashed keeps giving me generic driver explanations, but cannot pinpoint the culprit or culprits, even using driver verifier. Thanks in advance.

Start by updating the driver for the "RT73 USB Wireless LAN Card", post here again if you are still experiencing problems after that.

Thank you for the response. I had a feeling it was that wireless driver, but there are no updated drivers available. Should I just upgrade to a new usb wireless adapter?

Still having BSOD's after driver update.

So, I did manage to find an updated driver for my wireless lan card per Tobias's direction, and immediately after updating--BSOD!! Memtest passes, sfc no violations, Whocrashed keeps reporting that it is most likely software. The computer does not crash in safe mode and it seems like most of the crashes are ntoskrnl, irq less than, ntsf, page allocation-- all memory address violations, but no errors in windows memory diag or memtest. Please help.

Seven Forum info in original post.

Turn on driver verifier again if haven't already and upload any new minidumps you get here.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Enterprise x64, Windows 8 Enterprise x64
new minidumps added to SF file

The complete list of minidumps has been updated with new crash in Sevenforums.zip. I think this crash happened on shutdown immediately after updating usb lan driver. BSOD are not always happening on shutdown however. Sometimes as my computer is left on overnight, I get up in the morning and it is at the logon screen and after I logon, it says windows has recovered from an unexpected error... The most recent dmp file is the one I am referring to and the computer has not crashed since. The most recent dmp was without driver verifier on. It is now on; however, when I select "use all unsigned drivers" option it tells me there are none. And when I select use drivers for older versions of windows, it tells me there are none. When i select use all drivers, upon restart and trying to login the computer crashes and comes up with BSOD of tcpipreg.sys stop error, which does not recur after i reboot in safe mode and turn of verifier.

Hosts file?

I regularly run malwarebyes AM and spybot search and destroy. Well, apparently not as often as I thought. It has been 90 days. LOL. Running now. Could malware be the root cause of my BSOD's?

Thanks

Guy

I don't have a clue what that means, but I can say that I regularly run malwarebyes AM and spybot search and destroy. What does a lot of entries in Hosts mean?

Thanks

Guy

I don't think its anything to worry about - it looks like a sort of "blocklist" inserted into the HOSTS file by Spybot Search & Destroy

Code:
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
#    ::1             localhost
# Start of[COLOR=Red][B] entries inserted by Spybot - Search & Destroy[/B][/COLOR]
