Serious RAM defects and BSOD

Hi everyone,
My laps been crashing quite often in the past few months. However, this only happens when I was playing demanding games(NFS hot pursuit,COD black ops,e.t.c). After the crash,there would be no dump files-so I thought it was a driver issue.

Nonetheless,I did a win memory diag and memtest -both crashed before they could finish.These did have dump files-which I have attached.

Could someone please help me out?

P.S-
My Laptop is about a year old and has original OS(Windows 7-home premium 64 bit),OEM .
I have reinstalled the OS 3 times(to factory settings)-the problem persists.

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

Hello,

In addition to Yowan's advice to remove SPTD, I believe some hardware tests are in order.

Neither Memtest86 nor the Windows Memory Diagnostic should crash, unless hardware is at fault.

Try testing your computer's temperatures, using Speedfan. Could you post the results?

I have to suspect either the RAM or motherboard is at fault, though. I'm guessing you have two 2GB sticks of RAM installed, for a total of 4GB. Try removing one of them, and running Memtest86 on the other.

Hi @Jonathan_King,
I did the speedfan test. The results are as follows-
1. HD0:36C
2. Temp1:44C
3. Temp2:44C
4. Core 0:42C
5. Core 1:42C

I don't think daemon tools is the reason because as you pointed out-the memory tests shouldn't have crashed. However,I've uninstalled them in any case.

The temperatures look fine; I doubt they are causing the problem.

Carry on with the latter half of my post; see if you can't isolate and diagnose that probable RAM problem.

btw-I was just playing COD Black ops and checked the temp-Core temp went upto 79C.
Is that normal?

It's very normal for overheating computers!

Try cleaning out the dust from your CPU fan, heat sink, and motherboard, using a can of compressed air. Don't use a normal vacuum cleaner, though, as you can damage the chips with ESD. Special low-power vacs exist, but if you don't already have one, a can of compressed air is cheaper.
