Server Ports Remapping Automatically

Hey guys,

I'm trying to host several servers on my box running Windows 7, on UDP ports 2302/2303. I've forwarded the ports in my modem, however, it seems my ports are being remapped to a port at random usually in the 60,000 range. Knowing this i forwarded ALL the ports on my modem, so when the port was remapped it wouldn't matter. However, this didn't fix the problem and clients cannot connect to my server.

I've isolated the problem to my computer. I've shut down the windows firewall & Comodo firewall yet still no change.

Any input would be appreciated :-)

It would help to know what game you're attempting to host a server on. This is likely a problem with the game rather than the ports being forwarded through your router & comodo.

By the way, if you're going to have Comodo Firewall installed, you shouldn't have Windows Firewall enabled at the same time.

the game is halo, and as an effort to try it, we disabled comodo and tried to host.
that didnt work, so we tried disabling Windows Firewall and it did not work.

my friend is really Really good with Computers, and if he says the ports are being re-mapped then they are being re-mapped, as for fixing it...i don't know

Screenshot everything that you've made so far (firewall rules, router config, etc). FYI, UDP is not a reliable protocol to start with... So often times it will fail with no reason whatsoever...

Collin, don't bother censoring the IP addresses, it's already visible (look at your browser's address bar as a start, then DHCP lease as the second, and the forwarding rule as the final "blow"...) and it poses no security risk whatsoever...

Looking at your router's Firewall rules entry, it looks perfectly fine... What about your PC's firewall? Have you made exceptions in there?

Proper port and host (that is if your PC = 192.168.0.100)? Make sure the scope is "All" or "Global" or anything similar, maybe a "0.0.0.0".
