Pages have always loaded in under 1 second for me, no matter which sever.

it does seem a tad bit more responsive for me in FF even if it isn't supposed to be a side effect.

We are using a lot newer php version and a completely new cache system so that could account for what you are seeing, the hardware shouldn't make too much difference other than add capacity for growth.
