Service responsible for detailed info on errors/crashes

I think I may have disabled a windows service that tells me what was the specific error or reason for applications to crash because when some of my apps/games ( that are known to crash ) only reports a small box that says this program has stopped working.. I remember it should be giving me more info like "daorigins.exe has crashed bla bla bla"

I think you mean the Error Reporting Service. To change its settings do the following:

Click on Start, then select Control Panel, select System and Security, select Action Center, select Change Action Center settings, select Problem reporting settings, select Change report settings for all users, select one of the first 3 options, click on Ok button to apply the settings.
