sfc /scannow, errors found but could not correct.

I ran the sfc /scannow command in windows 7 x64 ultimate and it found errors but could not correct them.
I will attach the CBS.log file. I know there are lots of other threads about this, but this seems to be something that requires the log file to solve.

Please help me fix this.

have you run ck hard drive ????Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them i have bad errors on my pc but it runs fine so i don;t sress out about it..

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >"%userprofile%\desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

and attach the sfcdetails.txt if cbs.log is too large.

These KB's are known to cause your issue.
When they re-appear in updates, hide them.

I tried running sfc /scannow in Safe Mode, it didn't work. I tried running DISM from step #3. Didn't work, error 87, I will attach the log file. I will wait to hear more before I perform an in-place upgrade, that was the next step.

No corruption seen in your sfcdetails.txt, it was possibly the pseudo corruption of the mentioned Windows Updates.

That DISM command is for Windows 8 and above as far as I know.

I have been trying to play GTA V and Rockstar Support suggested this could be the issue, but refused to help me resolve it.

The DISM command did work in Windows 7, but with the results stated above.

Well, it worked, and Windows is activated.
Will see if Windows is corrupted after all the updates install.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

The zip file was too large even after deleting all but the latest cab file. The CBS.log file alone was 100 MBs when zipped.

type C:\windows\logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

Post the results...

2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

Did you hide any of the KB's to not install Win 10.
Did you change your update settings to manual download and install.
