I have an issue were its dedicating 766mb to my Graphics card. My Graphics card already has a good amount of Memory, and I am having Issues, when I play games that I get to 95% memory usage. So it starts using page file = Slow comp!

Can any one help?

Im suprised it goes that high, i think my options are 64mb, 128mb, 256mb, 512mb..

I have it set to 128mb on a 128mb card.. so 256mb in total.

I know how to get into the Bios. There is just no Bios Setting to change the size.

Please provide the exact model number of your Toshiba laptop. Its found under the laptop on the white or gray sticker. It should say Toshiba A300-??????

It just says A300 and my invoice does not list it either.

I'd like to ask more details about your laptop's origin but I'm afraid, it will border breaking forum rules on privacy.

Unfortunately, there are many variants of the A300 series and each variant has different specifications from one model to another. But as far as I can see, all graphics memory are dynamically shared.

Regarding your memory, it can accommodate the 4GB with no problems at all.

If you could provide the link where you download your driver for your specific model, that would be so much helpful to narrow down your model's information. That is, if you don't mind providing this information. Please read forum rules for reference. Thank you

Same problem

I am having the same problem accept that my laptop (Lenovo T500) under windows 7 says it has 256Mb dedicated memory and is using 1003Mb Shared memory for a total of 1259Mb. I have 4gig's of memory in total but Windows7 in the system properties says that I only have 2.64Gb usable memory. There is also no setting in my Bios to change the memory usage. Anyone have an Idea of what I can do? 1.2gigs of memory just for my Graphics card is quite a bit of "lost" memory.

Same problem

Do you have Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit? If 32-bit, Windows will only recognize 3.2 or 3.5 GB of RAM (I've seen references to both numbers) even if you have 4 GB installed. That might explain where the 'missing' memory went. HTH
