Sharing - Send image-files from android to Win7 PC

[1] Win7 32bit laptop (Toshiba)
[2] Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab2)
Each connected to a WiFi router

I want to send image files from the tablet to my laptop,

On a "Samsung Galaxy Tab" forum my thread Sync Tablet with PC is stuck on how to setup sharing on my PC.

How do I set up my laptop to receive image-files from a non windows device. ?
I accept I will have to work out the android bits with the "other side"
(I am promised when I make a screenshot on the android it (image-file) will be auto sent to the laptop)

In the sevenforums.com tutorials I have searched for "sharing" but I do not see how the android tablet will "connect".
Or maybe I am just "fick".

Would appreciate being pointed to a sevenforums tutorial OR any help

The easiest way I've found is to use Dropbox. From my Android phone (or tablet) I can "Share" the image and select Dropbox to share to. I have Dropbox setup on my desktop & laptop so that the image gets synced to them from Dropbox. Works great and once setup, doesn't require any effort whatsoever.

You can also use a Samsung app called Kies to transfer stuff from your tablet to your laptop.

If all else fails, you can simply connect the tablet to your laptop via a USB cable and copy the files using Windows Explorer.

You could use a file explorer app like ES File Explorer to move files back & forth but in order to "Share" where you see your tablet as a share that you could copy files from your tablet to your windows laptop you would need to setup a samba server on your tablet. In order for you to do that, you would need to root your tablet.

Yes you can as I said in my post above.

If it weren't for the annoying adds I would agree also that the option to upload the Original size images are restricted to paid for accounts only/ as far as I know please correct me if I'm wrong.

I personally would use Skydrive/ Zero advertisements and the ability to upload Original file sizes rules for freebie accounts with 7 gig's free storage which is 2 gig's more than dropbox.
I'm sure both apps are available at the Google store.

What ads are you talking about? I have a free Dropbox account with 8.25G of space, no ads and don't have any restrictions regarding full-size images.

Skydrive will probably work as well and does give more space for a free account.

Thanks for confirming the advertisements issue I wasn't sure but,
I looked into a bunch of them and it seemed All of them had some sort of adv. popups... when you use them and for others which you share files with,
I believe I disregarded dropbox because of the 2 gig's free when skydrive has a minimum of 7,
I got grandfathered with 25 gig's for a Hotmail.com account but this was well before skydrive existed when I looked into the services,
