Hi,

I have searched the forum, but I just found the "usual" asks - and solutions for it - in this issue and not the right for me.
My problem is; a few weeks ago on many of my icons on the taskbar (that earlier I have pre-configured to "Run as Administrator") suddenly appeared that blue-yellow shield sign.
I don't know what was the cause that Windows "thought" somewhen: "Now I want to show to you which icons has the run admin option!" :sarc:
I don't really like it, but I deal with it (I can live with that little sign :) ) until now, because it appeared on my Opera icon too - which don't have this option by the way... - and now it's disturb me.

I have went through on the usual solutions; first of all, I don't use UAC, it's turned off long time ago, so the icons shouldn't have this shield sign, right? Therefore, the "elevated icons solution" is useless in this case, right?
I have rebuilt the icon cache.
No change.

Now I have run out the ideas.

(Unfortunately, I have experience more often weird behaviour in my W7x64, I'm getting afraid I have to make a reinstall... :( )

Thanks for any help.

If I were you I would reinstall as well and leave the UAC permissions as they are. Who knows what could have installed without your knowledge since you completely disabled UAC. Doing that is not advisable, to say the least.
