Shortcuts to network drive disappear

Not sure if this is the right place (sorry if not)
I added 2 shortcuts to my newtwork drive but they keep disapearing from the desktop, also i have noticed that when i re add them and try naming them they all take on the same name
I hope ya can help if ya need more info just yell

It`s a windows 7 home premium 64bit

Hi. When you initially map the drive, check the box to reconnect at logon and also for connect using different credentials, then fill in the user/pass of the remote machine.

I havent really had to map the drive before wopuldnt have a clue how to they appaear in the my computer bit it`s creating shortcuts to desktop i am having the trouble with prolly just me

Would this by any chance coincide with the other computer(s) being in sleep mode or turned off? If so it's perfectly normal.

Jacee is correct, those shortcuts need to be made a certain way or they won't work correctly. The tutorial shows you how.
