Should I be worried about this .NET Runtime Optimization service error

My desktop "crashed" a few minutes ago, second time I've caught it in the act; all my icons disappeared from desktop and taskbar, even my internet browser closed then they all refreshed. I was listening to music this time it happened and the music paused for a few seconds on 2 occasions, once before it happened and once just before it happened (that's how I caught it). Then I just shut down my laptop and started it up again and decided to google "explorer.exe crashed" and was directed to looking in my Event Viewer, found the time for when I had the occurrence and decided to go through the log looking for the time around when I had the occurrence before and they had one thing in common! This:

"
.NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_32) - Service reached limit of transient errors. Will shut down. Last error returned from Service Manager: 0x8000ffff.
"

Then I decided to keep going through the list and I saw the same error maybe once every few days or so. Can anyone help me understand what the Application is so I should know if I should be worried or not and if there's a way to shut it down.

Thank so much!
