Solved show in folder not working after downloading

i when i download pdf files or any software when i click on show in folder it does not open. i was wondering on how to get this working again

Do they download to your downloads folder? If so right clicking them and choosing open containing folder will not do anything. You are already at the source folder. Can you show is what you mean by screenshot?

i used the open file location after downloading from google chrome on my admin account and it worked ok but on my user account it does not work. so don't know if something is wrong with my user account. a few things don't work properly on my user account but work ok on my admin account

If you create another account or used another account like you stated and everything works fine;

You most likely have a corrupted user account.

Copy the data over from that user account into a new user account. And then delete the corrupted account.
