Got my case and my entire watercooling system from this company called Danger Den. Cases - Danger Den These guys are awesome! They will bend over backwards for their customers. I built this rig in Iraq and they shipped everything to me free of charge and sent it PRIORITY from Oregon. It made it here in only 6 days! I highly recommend them!

On a cool day with a nice ambient my CPU cores usually stay around 67 - 70c during Prime95 SmallFFT's, but they can get as hot as 75c on load depending on the ambient.

My 920 D0 happens to be one of those early batches that run at a fairly low Vcore but run much hotter compared to other 920 chips. I'm 24/7 stable at 4GHz with HT on and VDroop enabled, so my Vcore is 1.25v at idle and 1.22v under full load. I can't go much higher than that with air cooling since this is such a hot chip, 4.2GHz was too hot for air cooling.

The only other thing that adds to the heat is the damn VREG on this Motherboard, it idles at 56 - 60c and can go up to as high as 88c when the CPU is under full load.

I'm looking at investing in a custom water cooling setup though.

Well here's my first complete build....I was reluctant to show it since my cable management is not up to snuff compared to a lot of great looking rigs you all have. Next one will definitely have a modular PSU :banghead:

That is really a nice setup. That case is great. I have the same problem with the cables. I just do a little cleanup everytime I open the case. It will eventually get cleaned up.

Squid, that looks to be a fine first build....congrats. The wire management is like the second phase for the first build as it takes a ton of time it's better to let the system settle in and then as mentioned little by little you can pull it apart and run the wires behind things. Sometimes it will require specialized extensions and conversion plugs but as you check it out you will find great ways to hide the PSU and other leads.

Thanks everyone! I had the wires in a much better arrangement when I first put it together but had a little . I had it all put together and was going through my left over parts when I noticed a small bag of "thingies". I was like what in the heck are these? Standoff screws? What are those and where in the heck do they go? Well needless to say (following a google search) I had to take EVERYTHING out and put it back after installing the standoffs so I was a lot less precise on where the wires/cables went since I may have to do it all over again This was a big learning experience for me to say the least!!

I wish you had let me know. I have a "sure fire" plan that eliminates those kind of problems. It has two steps. == First, when I open the box, I throw away the instructions and second, after everything is put together, I throw away the extra parts. No mess, no fuss.

Yes it's an attempt to get some air into the HD cage, I do think it helps a little.
