This the cable I made the other day for my new sound card. It looks good here but not so great once installed because the bends occurred on the heat shrinks. I'm tempted to do it over, leaving some wire exposed between the shrinks and the connectors to make the 90° bends easier.

Bad as it looked installed, it looks better than the stock cable I had temporarily installed.

It's a pity one can only see the PCB of cards from a normal viewing angle since they usually look cooler from the side you can't see.

I'm still waiting for the front panel audio cable extension to be delivered so I can reroute the front panel cable and connect it to the sound card.

Looking good with that soundcard, you might really enjoy it. As for sleeving and heatshrinks , sure it does not help to bend. Some might want to heat up them a bit when in place (or before) for the heatshrinks to shape better.

I believe you are talking about the clear 200mm fan at the top of the case in the right the pic does no justice lol

Of course this is not the color of the one I chose which was clear but you get the idea

Juan the doc's machine looks really good and the photos pro looking. Is it a Z87 Expert board?

I've been telling my dentist that he needs to upgrade his office computers........maybe I should show him the rig above lol!

After seeing Juan's work, I'm almost ashamed to show mine, especially since my machine needs cleaning (it's amazing how the camera picks up dust I can barely see), but here goes anyway.

Despite my idiot hip acting up (it's much better today than it was yesterday), I got antsy today and pulled the sound cable I made the other day to redo it. I got lucky and was able to salvage all but the heatshrinks (duh!) and the Molex pins. I was surprised to find I had enough sleeving left after trimming off the super glued ends. After shortening and reshaping the cable, I slipped the sleeve and shrinks on, crimped on new Molex pins, installed the Molex body, then shrank the shrink sleeves.

Here's what the cable looks like before installation:

I still need to reroute the front panel audio cable to the sound card but I just don't feel like wrestling the machine to my washing machine today so it will just have to keep.
