Thanks Barefoot.

Your a REAL pal.:D

Mike

Actually by the time I get the cash together I'm hoping they will have the 3rd generation out.
Get the Crucial SATA6's working a tad better or a Vertex3.:D
I'm going by Anandtech reviews.
Not my SSD knowledge.

What's wrong with the way the Crucial SATA III's work? Mine is absolutely brilliant.

Nothing in particular.
Maybe to get the 128GB to run like the 256GB for about $200.:what:

Mike;)

There's nothing wrong with the controller. Did you read the whole article? I've had mine for over 3 months now and have seen no performance degradation what-so-ever (I update my benchmark results regularly in the SSD thread here). Price might be a concern for some at the moment but new tech is always more expensive. Like everything, the price will drop eventually. This drive performs so well that I can't see myself needing to upgrade it for quite some time (and I really love to upgrade ;))

very nice score thobel..!
Thanks man. You know the one score that supprises me is the Media center one. Just a little work and it could have been a beast :)

Your main gaming rig with a little bit of an OC (unles it is allready)you will max out win 7 very very sweet set up

I don't think the 980x can hit 7.9 even at 5ghz+

I overclocked my processor a bit but i think the temperatures are a little much. around 45 idle at 3.52. but it went up a point. I'm aiming for a 7.8 score. EDIT: It's settling at around 83 on the first core after 30 minutes of prime 95 :) I guess that's an ok overclock. You think I can go further?

Orli155,
In the total scope of things you have a wicked system and I would error on the side of caution. Start real slow and methodical with any OC'g. I'm just letting my mobo auto OC and been happy with 10 % but at 15% it's not stable. I've ordered up a 1050 watt psu and this could help but really the whole 7.9's is just a game and it could be a very, very expensive and costly game should we start to smoke perfectly good components in a quest to win a game. But if money isn't an issue an your driven to get to that elusive 7.9 then my hat's off to ya and go for it.

I know, I just want to overclock a little bit. I don't want a 4ghz CPU, I'm fine with 3.5, and I only wanted a 7.8 since I'm so close. But I know I can't reach it because I don't think I can overclock my processor to a 7.8 but the GPU is only .1 point away and its stock. That's what I'm working on right now and that' it. So I'm stuck at 7.6 and I'm happy with it :) I really just wanna overclock my GPU.

OC'd my graphics card just a bit with ATI Overdrive and bumped it up by .1. Pretty happy with everything I've got now. Should last me for another year or two.
