Yes, you can move the System boot files to C by Marking C Partition Active then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times because it is the only wholistic method that tests and repairs all parameters including rewriting WinRE link to F8 menu.

Once the OS boots and C holds the System Active flags, you can delete System Reserved to leave or recover its space using Partition Wizard CD Resize Partition - Video Help.

Did you see the other suggestions I gave you earlier?

This is the option I going to use.

I made the "Repair Disk" and have the installation disk ready if I need it.

One last question to verify, I going to make the C: partition as "Active",

Is this correct ?

I don't think the tutorial mentions it, but to make sure of no mistakes, I would only have the windows drive connected. That probably is not necessary, but better safe than sorry.

I am betting the 90-ish MB partition is some type of factory diagnostic partition that got cloned over from another HDD. It won't show anything in it unless you boot from it.

Am I wrong to assume his AS SSD numbers are good, his Winsat shows 7.9, but all this advice now is just to get the WEI correct? The PC is performing as expected? I seem to remember a post saying there was not a noticeable difference after the switch to SSD? A Guy

After going thru the motions, there is no change !

Well almost, C: is now active, but the 96MB partition is still there. There was no change in the WEI and the notes are still the same.

Is it safe to merge C: and E: together now ?

I believe you are 100 % correct !

You didn't complete the steps. After C boots with System Active flags moved to it, you were to delete the boot partition to its left.

If this does't help then do the Clean Reinstall with the Diskpart Clean and partitioning commands I gave you which you didn't acknowledge.

I don't believe it has anything to do with booting Windows 7. If it will not boot, run startup repair at least 3 times or until the system boots.

No Bill, his AS SSD numbers were not good for his drive, his winsat disk was great, There was obviously some disconnect between winsat disk and WEI and AS SSD. He reset WEI, did everything all of us could think of, but it appears for some reason, WEI and AS SSD was running on the 96MB partition he had. WEI will not run on less than 1GB. I've never seen or heard of this. Apparently there was some issue with the way he installed Windows. We're trying to fix it.

By saying Unallocated, it means you deleted what was on the partition.

right click the other partition and choose extend

Use Partition wizard http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93322-partition-wizard-use-bootable-cd.html Just follow the directions, but anytime you mess with the windows partition, there is a risk. If done correctly, there should be no problem, but there is a risk. If you still have problems, I will help you reinstall, but Greg will fuss at me.

Dude, I believe disk management will only extend to the right. He will need to extend to the left. Partition wizard will do it.
