I thought that, but 8 doesn't have aero either. I think that score was a fluke.

Not having aero confuses me on how things work in 8 and 10. In the past, having aero on in vista and 7 means that the gpu powers the interface, and having aero off the cpu powers the interface. Therefore it is almost always better on every pc to run aero.

Not sure about 8 and 10. Might have to read up on that unless someone knows here.

I think Aero worked fine, but video card drivers did not work correctly, transparency caused problems with drivers. Nvidia and AMD said it was windows, and MS said it was the gpu. In my opinion it was poor drivers. That's my opinion though.

There are workarounds to somewhat get aero back in 8, but it's not quite the same.
