What is the allocation required in order to shrink a hard drive in Computer Management? 10% free of space allocation? 30%? Mine is around 10% but the Shrink Volume is 0 MB. My hard drive size is 300 GB.

If you are needing more drive space, the easiest way to get it is to install a second hard drive. Not only will this give you more space, but it can also speed things up, because while the program you are running is accessing drive C:, it can be reading and writing your files on drive D: - it can do both at the same time, rather than reading/writing one thing at a time, because the program and the data are on separate drives.
