Hello. I installed Ubuntu on my originally Windows 7 running laptop. I've decided to go back to Windows 7. The first time I got my laptop, I made backup of the system with Asus Ai Recovery. I've used the backup, and it all went well until my littlebrother accidentally shutdown the laptop by holding down the shutdown key. I tried rebooting normally, but I got a bluescreen which appeared for 3 secounds and then it restarted. I then went on and tried to restore from the backup cd's again, but I got the same results. Nothing works. I even tried to install ubuntu again but it's always the same result!

My laptop is Asus X54C.

Boot into System Recovery Options on the Win7 installation media or System Repair Disk
to open a Command Line, then wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command which should allow the Recovery Disks to run again.

However, since you probably need Win7 installation media to do this, I'd skip the bloated Factory Recovery and do the vastly superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 so you can experience the best install of Win7 instead of the worst one.

Fixed it! Went to System Recovery Options and selected Debugging Mode, which got me back to the Configuration screen (where you pick language and keyboard setup, etc). Thanks :D
