SimCity 3000 Unlimited

I have SimCity 3000 Unlimited which I bought recently but unfortunately I can't run the program.
I've tried to run it as administrator, in Windows 95 or 98 compatibility mode but nothing works.
Pls help.

As with many old games the game itself is not the issue but the Installer often is as they can be 16Bit applications which is no longer supported on modern systems

All is not lost and the following may help
