Sleeping mode problem.

Hello,I'm new here,sorry if this is not the right section,but I really need help.So I was playing some games without my pc lagging or something,but in a moment my pc freezed,even the sound freezed and then the monitor went black and in like 2 seconds it said "NO VIDEO INPUT" and then "ENTERING SLEEP MODE".Ok,the main idea is now i can't get it out of sleep mode.I turned off the pc and then turned it on,restarted but it would only put the pc into sleep mode,it wouldn't even show me "Starting Windows".The pc is running,the fans ... but the keyboard,i don't think it's working but it's plugged in.So the idea is that now when i turn on the pc it would only go in sleep mode.

Sorry for my bad english.Anyone know how I can solve the problem.

Hello Sebi and welcome to SF,

Sleep mode requires power to the PC to keep the session saved in RAM.
So, if you unplug or turn off the power to the PC, the "Sleep session" will be lost.
If you do this, I expect you'll get a warning message when you boot the PC because it did not have a clean shutdown...
I've always used "Start Windows normally" and had no problems after a Win 7 PC did not do a clean shutdown...

If you are using hybrid sleep (or hibernate) disconnecting the power will not help for this...
With Hybrid/hibernate the session is saved to disk and does not need uninterrupted power to resume.

If you did turn off the power, and you get this "sleep error" after powering up the PC, work through this tutorial.

Do you use Virus/Malware protection, and is your Windows OS activated and up to date?

I realize this is an older thread and you've probably found the solution, but it sounds like a monitor issue. Some monitors, when they lose video input from the computer (due to a loose or faulty video cord) will go into sleep mode. This could be why you didn't see a "starting Windows" on boot-up. Did you resolve this issue and if so what was the fix?
