Hi -
I have a brand new (5 days old) Toshiba A505 running Windows 7 64 bit.
On restarts and coming out of hibernation, the connection to my home router seems to take an excessive amount of time to connect -- about 5 minutes sometimes.

I run ZoneAlarm and AVG (Free).

I haven't touched any settings (that I know of) but it seems like it should pick up the Wifi right away -- instead, I often just have to wait and wait and wait and sometimes not until I hit the troubleshooting option does it connect.

Any ideas what could be happening or how I might be able to fix this?

Thanks,
Adam

It could be many things. I would start looking at your networking. I assume you are running homegroup. If so, homegroup sometimes, on some systems, has connection problems. You can see if that is the problem by making a new network connection and using workgroup instead. If it works you can disable IPv6 and kill homegroup

Let us know if you need help
