Hello People,

I have recently upgraded a computer system from xp to windows 7 via vista (along way I know and not my personal choice).

The pc is connected via ethernet to a windows server 2008 r2, from where it has access to various documents they use.

After the upgrade, the access time to load / edit these files is very slow compared to what it was under Windows XP.

Has anyone here had a similar experience, or maybe know of a tweak to make the file access quicker ?

Yep, sure have. The problem is that the machine was XP to Vista to Windows 7. The only fix we found for this was to WIPE the drive and install Windows 7 from scratch on the machine. Wish I had better news. -WS
