Solved Slow input with Logitech K350 Wireless Keyboard

Replacement keyboard has arrived and installed. Appears to have corrected the problems. Keyboard movement in games also seems to be OK.

Great news Jack as MJF says you probably got the lemon of the production batch or it might have been made on a Friday LOL!! Glad it's all fixed though..

Never had many Logitec stuff except the sound systems and I really like them especially the Z506 and as a matter of interest the sound systems are cheap relative to the KB's and mice and have just had plain mice for the laptops.

Yes, kudos to Logitech for their support. I had a flakey mouse one time and it too was handled rapidly and a new one sent out. Too bad other component and PC companies don't have this type of support anymore. The only negative is their QC, as this is the second new Logitech device to have problems.

Logitech sent the new keyboard, but they don't want the old one. Typical of costs, it probably costs as much to ship and refurb (if possible) than it does to make a new one. I encountered that with IBM on our 3174/3270 system keyboards when I was working (network manager). If IBM had to replace a keyboard, even for one sticky key, they would scrap the keyboard. Those keyboards were "repairable" but the cost to ship and run through the refurb shop was almost double what IBM could have the keyboards made (in Asia).

As a side note, the mouse that I thought was working OK is now even faster. The old keyboard must have been slightly interferring with the mouse.

Sadly, the Bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo still has hang up problems. It is flakey, it can work OK and then all of a sudden hang up and then after a period start working again. I've uninstalled the Logitech keyboard and mouse and am back to a wired keyboard and standard rf wireless mouse. These are working OK.

The Bluetooth keyboard/mouse is not ready for prime time, at least not in my location, with other Bluetooth devices, such as the remote for a Vizio HD TV, in my iPhone5, etc.

Hum sorry to hear that mate pity you could not get the darn thing to work.

Personally I prefer wired I know it is a lot of extra space being taken up but no "signals" to go wrong eh?

If you are stuck I can't remember saying but the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 is the real deal.

I have a working keyboard, nothing fancy just a basic keyboard that will serve until I find what I really want. I'm going to make a trip to the CompUSA computer hardware store in Orlando this week and try out what they have.

Probably a "regular" RF wireless keyboard would work, but not this Bluetooth type arrangement. However, I'll only consider wired keyboards. If I wasn't cheap, I'd go for one of the higher end keyboards with Cherry switches.

Well, I found a wired Microsoft keyboard that I can live with. It works OK and even has some media function keys (e.g. sound).

That's too bad that it didn't work out. I have a lot of Logitech tech on the go here. Keyboards, mice, speakers. lol, I have a wireless trackball, its an M570. It never moves on my desk so the wireless part isn't really a benefit other than it looks nicer without the cord. It uses a Unifying receiver. Just about everything else is wired except for a K-400 keyboard, it uses a unifying Receiver too. I've heard that the ones that don't use the unifying receiver can suffer from interference problems. I'm not surprised, they are all in the same frequency band. I had to ditch a set of 2.4 Ghz wireless phones because every time the phone rang my WIFI would stop working and I'd have to power cycle the router to get it working again. I went to a set of Dict 6 phones. Anyway, hopefully you have better luck in the future.

Its a comfort curve 2000 keyboard.

I have a wireless Logitech mouse, MX Revolution rechargeable and it works OK. No interference issues. It was just the unifying Bluetooth type that gave me the headaches.

That's a bummer, the unifying ones are the ones I'd expect to work the best. I was pleasantly surprised to find out my K-400 would actually let me access the BIOS on my desktop. I would have bet money that a wireless keyboard wouldn't work for that. Even without drivers it appears to the PC like a wired USB keyboard. I resisted using wireless keyboards and mice for quit some time. All kinds of stories about interference etc. My trackball is wireless only because Logitech doesn't make the same version with a wired connection. I bought the K-400 because it was small and wireless, and also because it has an integrated track pad. I use it for my Media PC I have in my bedroom. So far I have no real complaints. The K-400 could use a few more media keys on it, but its still usable.

Yep Jack I reckon they build far too much stuff (software) into these things now like I get flipping Windows updates for my Sidewinder x6 for heavens sake.


Mind you I do like Logitec sound gear my Z506 hooked up via the Asus Xonar DG is just the ducks gu.. err knee joints LOL!! After my trip I ma planning to go to the Asus Xonar DX

As for the keyboards from M$ well I just like the smoother surfaces on them I just do not like those chunky "bricks" that most of them sport.

Well, I'm done with this thread. The new keyboard works OK and no more slow input like I had with the Bluetooth.
