Hi
My PC's network card is configured as 100 Mbps
My NAS Drive is configured as 100 Mbps

My Home Hub 3 shows both connected at 100 Mbps, yet I'm getting a maximum of 1.3M transferring a file to the NAS.

Is there any way I can increase this ?
I get the same speed from my 20Mbps download from my DSL.

Your hub is probably whats causing the problem. Hubs are only able to run in 1/2 duplex mode so your speed is only 50 mbps.

100 Mbps (Mega bits per second) connection maximum theoretical speed is 12.5 MBps (Mega Bytes per sec)

A hub that runs in 1/2 duplex mode runs at 50 Mbps = 6.25 MBps

This is theoretical maximum speeds.

To increase you speeds i would suggest replacing your hub with a switch. If you want to increase it more add gigabit hardware to all your machines. That will give you a maximum of 125 MBps. On my Gigabit network I normally see network transfer speeds around 70-100 MBps.

I hope this helps.
