Hi guys, need some help. Having troubles printing documents and even worse with Adobe Photoshop. When i open up Microsoft Word it says "Connecting to Printer.." after awhile when i try to print, its really slow opening the Print Dialog Box (EPSON PRINTER) not sure if its the spooling process. I don't know what happend. but before, everythings fine with printing. Haven't installed any programs or change anything in my registry.

My printer is connected thru USB Ports. Laptop have 3 USB Ports.

LAPTOP Specs
HP Compaq Presario CQ60
3-GIG RAM
Windows 7 32bit

Printer
EPSON Stylus T13 - T22E Series

Here are the steps that i already did:

1. Uninstalled EPSON Software along with the DRIVERS, Reinstalled EPSON Software and DRIVER using EPSON CD. Still the same problem.

2. Defrag drives (Just in case).

Really need your help guys.

Thanks!

Thank you irene! Sorry for the late reply, just got off from work. Anyway, i already updated all the needed drivers both for my (HP) laptop and (EPSON) printer. I'm still trying to figure out the problem. But can't seem to fix it.

Help anyone?

Thanks!

This is a long shot, but I came across a 2010 thread on the Adobe forum which you might find an interesting read:
Adobe Forums: EXTREMELY slow print dialog response in...

Here is a quote from there:

Re: EXTREMELY slow print dialog response in CS4 Sorry to possibly re-open an old wound but I had a similar problem and found a solution...

We encountered this error on a select few systems where the Print Dialog box would take forever and a half (in end-user time of course) to open in Adobe Reader (Version 9.0 and every version to 9.3.4) Occured on all profiles from User class to Admin class to Enterprise Admin class. (Multiples of each were tested)

Solution! We Stopped a service, and disabled it.

NET DRIVER HPZ12 <----This guy! He's the evil jerk slowing everything up! Kill him!

Instantly, the print dialog boxes would open up snappy. (We did not even have to reboot the system)

We discovered this by accident when one of our users somehow blew up the Print Spooler. About 3 weeks later, we have not had any noticed issues with the disabling of the service. That being said, you should keep an eye on things for a while just to be safe. (Right now someone far more intelligent than I is reading my solution and screaming "Noooooo!" for a reason I do not know...yet)

I hope this helps someone, we spent weeks trying to find a solution.

Good luck!

Irene thanks for the reply. I've read the said topic and followed the directions, stopped the "NET DRIVER HPZ12" service. Still no changes, and i even searched for the AUD and BUD file but there's no hope finding it.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hoping to resolve this problem.:cry:

Thank you!

Not all usb ports on laptops are 2.0, try switching the printer to another usb port then try the 3rd one to see it it improves performance and if you ever use a usb hub make sure it's powered and plugged into a 2.0 port.

Solved!

@Irene
Been looking for that AUD File / BUD File, i've read that topic a few days ago and assumed that Program Data folder is Program Files. That's why i'm having troubles looking for it. My bad. :) Thank you again for your BIG HELP!

@linnemeyerhere
You're right, Didn't noticed that. The 2 other USB Port is somehow faster in reading. Thanks!

Again, thank you guys! You fixed it! You saved us time and our business!
