So I upgraded from vistax64 to win7x64.

I noticed that TF2 and BF2 are both slower now. My FPS drops below 30 more often now. The graphics drivers I'm using are the same (the newest version). For every other driver however, I'm using the default generic drivers that windows 7 installs.

anyone know why this is happening?

Please update your system specs - the link is in my signature.

Lower performance usually means drivers that aren't optimized for Windows 7.

OK I updated it. The newest Nvidia drivers should be good with win7. The only thing I can think of that might be slowing it down is the generic automatically installed windows drivers I have for everything else.

Yea thats possible. Just because it loads default working drivers doesnt mean you should still install item specific drivers. I like that when i booted the first time everything worked, and that Windows only complained the slightest when i wanted to install the specific driver. Other than that, its been great. Now for my game problems... :(
