So.... Anyone Got ObjectDock 2 yet?

I got my StartDock ObjectDock 2 Plus the other day and I was wondering if anybody else has tried this app yet?

Anyways. I'm having a few small issues with it, one I think is specific to OD2, while the other is most likely a "x86-launcher-on-a-x64-OS" issue...

Firstly, when it comes to showing my system tray, I can't get it to show all the icons. Doesn't matter what my taskbar settings (e.g.: display all or hiding certain icons in the actual explorer.exe taskbar) or my OD2 settings (same basic display options as Windows) are set to, I can't get all the items to display.

Secondly, I have a folder on my desktop with shortcuts to my games, but when I use this to make a launcher with OD2 (the 'Plus' version allows multiple bars), the icons for 90% of them disappear... It seems shortcuts where I had to manually specify the icon (in other words where the file the shortcut points to doesn't contain the icon) it then shows a white page as a 'missing icon' instead.

If anyone could shed some light on these issues, that would be a great help.. I have had the second issue with a few other 32-bit launcher bars and interface shells (one was Launchy, until I got the beta x64 version), but I don't know if it's possible to get around this.

Not sure how much of a difference these make, but I'll mention it anyway: ObjectDock 2 is installed to the 'Program Files (x86)' folder (because it's only 32-bit), my user account has administrative privileges and UAC is turned off. Any ideas...?

Yeah, I've seen a lot of people saying that.. Honestly I'm considering the same route, I don't really use the tabbed bar feature, and virtually everything else is pretty much the same as the later 1.x versions anyway.

I can't really help myself though... I'm very much a 'latest-version-of-everything' kinda guy.

Prime example: It wasn't enough to simply get Windows 7, it had to be the Ultimate x64 version... Need I say more? Lol.

Found the same and did the same . Though I tried the free version .

But ont thing I must to say, it is a bit easier to customize than 1.9 version .

Don't think I've ever asked (never had a reason to), but are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows...? Just wondering about the disappearing icon issues. I've seen a similar issue with other 32-bit launchers on my system before, but I don't know if all of them act like that...

Ah... I see. Well, looks like I was a bit too hasty with buying ObjectDock 2 then.. Lol. I'll just hang on with it and see if there ant updates to resolve these minor annoyances. At least in the meantime it still works nicely though. I'm still amazed at the minimal memory footprint, especially considering the amount of eye-candy included in the bars...
